Marilyn Ray
Property Management Administrative Assistant
Five years ago, as my husband and I pulled into Valdosta to visit family, I immediately fell in love. The moss-covered oaks, the azaleas in the spring, the warm and welcoming people were all reasons I knew I was officially “home”. I continue to love Valdosta and am excited to be a part of such a wonderful community!
While living in Bay City, Michigan I was appointed to sit on several boards and committees. I served on the Block Grant Committee which determined the essential needs of the community, acquired bids, and disbursed the available block grant monies back out into the community. I was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church and sat on their school board for several terms. I also did volunteer work with the Department of Aging, representing senior citizens who needed help protesting their property assessments. I enjoyed every minute of my community involvement in Bay City and have started to get involved with my Church and community here in Valdosta.
While relatively new to Valdosta, I am definitely no stranger to the real estate world. I come with over 18 years of experience in real estate sales and property management. I have a love for the business and enjoy the satisfaction of helping my clients achieve their goals. I truly feel that there is an art to real estate. Listening to my clients’ needs and understanding their motivations are my top priorities from the very beginning. I also believe that providing exceptional customer service and constant communication is key. These strong values and attributes awarded me “Top Producer” at my previous employer.
While I love real estate, my first love will always be my family. I have two wonderful grown children, one amazing daughter-in-law and two awesome grandchildren. I also have a very spoiled dog, Honey! She is a retired greyhound racer from Second Chance Greyhounds, a group devoted to finding homes for retired racers. I have enjoyed volunteering my time to this wonderful organization by conducting home inspections, making sure that the future home and owner will be a good match for the dog. I have also fostered several greyhounds until they are able to find their forever home.
Whether it’s dogs or people, I want to find them a HOME!
