Elisa Ray Valdosta Ga Realtor with Mercer Hughes Real Estate Group

Realtor®

As a military wife I’ve moved to and from Valdosta, and other communities around the world on several occasions.  Whether military or civilian, I fully understand the emotions that come with relocating across town or across the world.  I know first-hand you’re not only finding a new home, you’re often uprooting a family, finding new schools and activities for children, making new friends, and many times starting a new career.  Prior to becoming a Realtor®, I worked in civil service for 15 years. Five of those years I was responsible for the largest property management office within the Department of Defense. I had the pleasure of helping service members from all branches of the military, as well as federal civilian employees. My job was to help them relocate, often times with their families, and find a home.

The challenges of moving may seem insurmountable to overcome, but I have faced them all. As a bilingual Realtor® I bring an extra value to the table for Spanish speaking clients. Although I have been a United States citizen since 1999, I was born in Mexico City, Mexico. I certainly understand the obstacles of moving from one country to another. You can be assured that I will use the experiences and skills that I’ve developed to assist you in finding your dream home, right here in South Georgia.

Moody AFB was my husband’s duty station when we married in 1997, and that is when I officially became a Valdosta resident! I attended Valdosta State University and graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education with a minor in Spanish Literature.  Although the Air Force took my family around the world, we’ve always considered Valdosta our home.  We’ve watched our quiet town develop into South Georgia’s agricultural economic hub, but still retain all the southern charm and character that makes Valdosta such a great place to call home.

In my spare time I enjoy amateur photography. When I’m not using those skills to share the beauty that Valdosta properties entail, I like to focus on the abundance of natural beauty within our unique wetlands. I especially enjoy capturing our tranquil sunrises and sunsets and our majestic live oaks. Other times I enjoy taking day trips to capture Florida’s gulf coastal areas or Georgia’s nearby Golden Isles.

Even though I am not a Valdosta native, I like to say I got here as quick as I could.  ¡Bienvenidos Ya’ll to Valdosta! It would be my pleasure to assist you in finding your new home…Home is where the heart is!
