One of my favorite quotes is “Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life.” The purchase of a pair of shoes for my college sorority formal from the local Country Cobbler led me to a career path of sales, marketing and management while putting down roots in Valdosta.
My passion for community can be traced back to my years at the Valdosta-Lowndes Chamber of Commerce as Vice President of Economic Development where I spent significant time marketing South Georgia as the perfect place to retire as Director and Developer of Georgia’s first regional retiree attraction economic development initiative.
Facilitating hundreds of retirees move to South Georgia was a natural segue into a career of real estate. As a new REALTOR®, I was awarded Rising Star, then Top Producer and Agent of the Year. As a member of the Valdosta Board of Realtors® I was awarded the Spirit Award and served as President of the Board and as Chairman of numerous committees throughout the years. I also serve as Director at the Georgia Association of Realtors.
As a Valdosta State University graduate, I witnessed Valdosta’s great transformation – from a sleepy community into a bustling metropolitan hub that retains its small-town feel. My intimate knowledge of this region, my experiences of having lived here since college graduation and achievement of the esteemed Realtor® designation, Certified Residential Specialist, give me enthusiasm, desire and expertise to make my home, your home.
